What's New at TripLog - March 2026

March was another big month for TripLog updates! Here’s what’s new.

Mileage Limits

Admins can now set mileage limits on trips, similar to how spending limits work for expenses. Set a threshold by miles or dollar amount and TripLog will enforce it automatically during submission and approval.

This feature is available to primary admins within organizations under our Enterprise plan.

Alcohol Detection on Receipts

TripLog can now detect alcohol items during OCR receipt scanning.

When alcohol items are found on a receipt, admins can set rules like requiring notes, raising flags, or blocking submissions entirely, giving your team more control over how you handle expense approvals.

Expanded Audit Logs

Trip audit trails - which show creation and edit history for individual trips - are now available to all organizations under our Enterprise plan. You no longer need approval management enabled to see these logs.

Translated Reports

Downloaded reports now better match the language set in your account. Column headers are now translated into your chosen language, while fields drivers manually enter (notes, tags, etc.) will remain as originally entered.

Other Bug Fixes & Improvements

  • Improved performance for organizations with large numbers of custom field values.

  • Updated billing for Canadian customers to comply with local sales tax regulations.

  • When adding a vehicle in TripLog, the year, make, and model can now be auto-populated from an updated US vehicle database.
